This is an intensive 5 day course which includes a review of the VIVND1 content which is supplied electronically prior to class attendance as well a full delivery of VIVND2.The VIVND1 content should be studied before attending the class ( approx 24 hours). VIVND1 looks at the characteristics of a video solution and provides students wth the knowledge to evaluate the general requirements of a video deployment, such as coding options, media formats, protocols, network impact, high-level architectural components and their interactions, and requisites to the environment.
VIVND2 builds on the knowledge gained in VIVND1, and focuses on the skills required to implement various Cisco Video endpoints in converged Cisco video infrastructures. Students will gain an understanding of the 4 major Cisco Medianet application components: Unified Communication and Collaboration – TelePresence – Digital Media Suite (DMS) – Video Surveillance, and be able to implement and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communication and Collaboration, TelePresence and Digital Media Player in different Cisco business video solution architectures

- Basic IP Networking Knowledge. ICND1 and ICND2 or CCNABC/CCNAX is recommended.

This exam is required for those delegates wishing to achieve either the Cisco Video Network Specialist Certification or the Cisco Certified Network Associate Video Certification (CCNA Video).
Delegates looking to acheive the Cisco Certified Network Associate Video Certification will also require the 640-461 ICOMM exam.
